1. What is the difference?

Sourcing is a term used to describe where a sale occurs and therefore, what sales and use tax rate applies to a purchase and what jurisdiction is owed the tax money. The jurisdiction of the sale for destination-sourced sales is the location where the customer receives the product, and the jurisdiction of the sale for origin-sourced sales is the seller’s place of business.
