Video: Should a Manufacturer Answer a Sales Tax Nexus Questionnaire?

Questionnaire.jpgThe short answer is yes.  When a manufacturer receives a nexus questionnaire it means the state suspects the company has sales tax nexus.   Complete the questionnaire truthfully.  Determine if you actually have nexus.  Follow the advice offered in this short video.

If the state suspects your company has nexus, get ready to receive either an estimated assessment for uncollected taxes or a formal sales tax audit notice.  Develop a game plan to respond to these two situations.
